Polymeric Protecto-Board

Wallbarn Protecto-board offers complete protection to waterproof membranes. Whether contractors need to protect delicate waterproof membranes or even finished works, Wallbarn Protecto-board is the ideal material.
 
 

Wallbarn Protecto-board is a tough, flexible board made from 100% recycled material. It is made from cellulose fibreboard impregnated with 30% bitumen. It provides excellent resistance to ground salts and most corrosive chemicals.

It is highly versatile and comes in a variety of sizes and thicknesses from 1.5mm to 6mm, the largest range of thickness on the market. It can be used for a number of applications.

Because of its high strength and puncture resistance, Wallbarn Protecto-board matches and exceeds the performance of traditional thicker boards. This provides significant cost savings, makes the material easier to handle on site, and leads to storage space reductions.
 
 
Wallbarn Protecto-board can be used as both a temporary and permanent protection layer. It has been used successfully as an intermediate layer in inverted roofs, to protect against falling objects, pedestrian or vehicular damage,
 
 
and even to protect (below) against concrete pour or mechanical damage during backfilling. It is particularly useful for tanking since it is lightweight, can be fixed vertically quite easily, and is strong enough to withstand any subsequent structural settlement.
 
 

Wallbarn Protecto-board is extremely easy to use and can be cut, moulded and shaped around corners and details (such as drainage or ventilation outlets) easily.

It can also be scored and folded to provide continuity at corners, angles and overhanging joints.

 

 

And because it is lighter in weight than equivalent strength protection boards, it can be fixed to vertical as well as horizontal surfaces, and secured either by spot bonding or with adhesive tape.

 
 
 
Wallbarn can also manufacture Wallbarn Protecto-board pre-creased.
 
 
This is useful where a large amount of bend or manipulation is required. This is ideal for applications such as column protection, and can be removed and re-used by contractors. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
 
Wallbarn Protecto-board is provided both as a plain cellulose board, or coated with a clear lacquer. For applications other than when the board is covered immediately, we recommend that the lacquered board is used.
