Wallbarn
distributes a range of strong,
flexible Geotextile
and geosynthetic fabrics.
Geotextile
fabrics can be used in a variety
of applications including separation,
filtration, reinforcement of
soil, drainage and erosion control.
They are also commonly used
as separation and protection
layers within structural waterproofing
systems.
Manufactured
from thermally bonded nonwoven
polypropylene, these rolls are
easy to handle and quick and
simple to install. This fabric
material provides superior performance
even under the most demanding
construction conditions. Polypropylene
is one of the most inert textile
polymers available and highly
resistant to commonly encountered
soil chemicals, acids and alkalis,
mildew, and bacteria. The makeup
of the fabric is uniform throughout
the roll, so no weak spots will
be present in the layer.
The
geotextile
layer provides an excellent
separation layer for land drainage.
Since it allows the flow of
water through the soil without
any clogging, the soil will
not become saturated, thereby
maintaining its strength and
stability. It will provide a
perfect structure for top coverings,
be that asphalt for roads, topsoil
for playing fields, or sand
for riding arenas and gallops.
They
are frequently used between
insulation boards and paving
slabs on balconies and inverted
roof systems. As well as filtering
solid particles away from the
membrane, they also protect
it from mechanical damage and
puncturing.
They
are extremely effective in drainage
systems such as French Drains,
pipe drains and vertical drains.
Their presence allows for courser,
cheaper aggregate to be used
and increased drainage surface
thus faster removal of water.
Therefore fewer drains per area
are required.
All
Wallbarn geotextiles
are manufactured to ISO 9001
standards. The most popular
grade of geotextile
filter layers which Wallbarn
distribute are 100gsm and 140gsm,
but we can also supply a heavier
or lighter grade of geotextile
fabric. All our products can
be supplied in various roll
sizes. Please contact us with
your requirements and we would
be happy to recommend the appropriate
material.
