Both competitors have managed to hobble back into work with blisters and stories of woe.
Gaynor the bunny girl
crossed the line first for Wallbarn in 2011 and remains the fastest woman in construction with a previous best of 4 hours 10 minutes.
This is still a long way for the fastest Wallbarnonian, Darren Higgins, who managed an incredible 2 hours 52 minutes, albeit a long, long, long time ago
…..Millboard composite decking.

Wallbarn is now supplying four separate contractors on the Olympic Athletes’ Village in east London.
Not only were we specified as suppliers of ASP support pads for paving on the courtyards, terraces and walkways for the accomodation blocks;
but we are now also supplying supports for timber decking and Megapds on other areas.
Wallbarn anticipates supplying a lot more of both hard and soft landscaping products on this site right up until scheduled completion in the late summer of 2011.
In case regular Wallbarn followers were wondering the Kenyan runner just beat Alec in the London Marathon.
Alec finished the 26.2 miles in the very respectable time of just over 5 hours. Gaynor, dressed as a bunny girl, finished in 4 hours 34 minutes to claim the Wallbarn challenge cup.
Alec is currently “enjoying” a well earned day off; and his knees will require the support of Wallbarn’s Megapads for approximately one week!
Wallbarn Megapads will tolerate a weight loading of 800kg per unit. Using standard 450 x 450mm paving slabs this equates to almost 4 tonnes per m2!
Recent testing has shown the high strength and quality of our Megapads, giving applicators full assurance that even at the highest level of 620mm Megapads can take care of even the biggest loads on roof decks, balconies and pedestrian areas.
