Paving pedestals, South London

Overview

This was a residential development in South London with flats laid out over 13 floors with large number of balconies and walkways that needed paving of varying sizes.

Wallbarn supplied its Universal adjustable pedestals to contractor Eco Green Roofs.

Using our universal pedestals allows you to lay paving up to door thresholds adjusting the height with millimetre precision.

Installers used Wallbarn’s metal edging clip to allow them to lay slabs right up to the walls and parapets whilst maintaining an even gap for drainage.

Slabs were mostly laid in a stretcher bond pattern. Wallbarn’s service team used its MegaPro estimating software both to work out the optimum number of pedestals needed for the job and to produce a colour-coded plan which guides the contractors on how and where to lay the supports. This saves time and wastage.
