The World Green Infrastructure Awards 2025

That’s why we’re proud to announce that two of our landmark developments are now entered into the World Green Infrastructure Network (WGIN) Awards 2025—a leading global recognition in green infrastructure excellence. 

Why the WGIN Awards Matter

Now in its 16th year, the WGIN Awards celebrate groundbreaking green infrastructure initiatives worldwide awards.wgin.org. With 8 core categories—and the addition of the Green Infrastructure Champion award—the programme recognises excellence across roofs, walls, living systems, policy, community spaces, and more.

Winners will be announced at the global ceremony in October 2025 in Slovenia, following the nomination deadline of 31 August 2025 . 

Categories in Focus

• Green Roofs: Living roofs that enhance stormwater resilience, insulation, and biodiversity 

• Green Walls: Vertically‑greened facades that enrich urban aesthetics, air quality, and thermal comfort .

• (Optional) Innovative Living Systems: Experimental integrations of living systems—like fungi, algae, or modular eco‑structures—into buildings.

• Deadline for Submissions: 31 August 2025 

• Announcement & Ceremony: October 2025, in Škofja Loka, Slovenia
