Two at-height terrace refurbishments on commercial buildings in London have proved the benefits of close collaboration, meticulous planning and appropriate product selection to deliver robust, fire-compliant decking areas that balance premium aesthetics with technical excellence and long-term performance.
One Creechurch Place in the City of London, and 20 Triton Street – within the Knowledge Quarter – required high performance pedestal and decking solutions with Class A fire compliance to update outdoor spaces in line with current Building Regulations.
Pedestal specialist Wallbarn supplied complete systems for both projects, from its MetalPad EX pedestals and I-Plus Beam aluminium rail substructure system to frost/heat resistant Exadeck ceramic decking boards, which completed the installation perfectly having been designed specifically to work with the Wallbarn substructure. The result is hard-wearing, long-lasting and fit-for-purpose Class A substructure/decking solutions with a 25 year limited warranty and expected lifespan of 50 years or more.
