Both competitors have managed to hobble back into work with blisters and stories of woe.

Gaynor the bunny girl crossed the line first for Wallbarn in 2011 and remains the fastest woman in construction with a previous best of 4 hours 10 minutes.

This is still a long way for the fastest Wallbarnonian, Darren Higgins, who managed an incredible 2 hours 52 minutes, albeit a long, long, long time ago
