MINI MEGAPADS are our special smaller height support pads suitable for paving slabs and timber decking.
They were developed as we had received feedback from some of our customers that often they were restricted to very low height thresholds but still required adjustable pads in order to get completely flat and seamless finishes.
In terms of technical performance they have the same traits as the Megapads and Megapad TD ranges, since they can tolerate a weight loading of 800kg and have the double thickness stem in the centre of the pad. However, they are most often used in conjunction with the ASP paving support or TD support pad range as they offer the lowest possible adjustable heights.
Using these Mini-Megapads avoids the need to have to spend a large amount of time and effort placing shims under fixed height supports trying to gain the optimum level. This is important since the lowest height thresholds are most commonly found around areas such as doorways and the structure-end of terraces, where pedestrian traffic is most likely to be at its heaviest and thus a level, stable, secure set of paving or decking is most critical.
Because the amount of adjustable thread is so small – only 8mm in the case of the smaller pad – it is sometimes difficult for applicators to get their fingers into the space to alter the height. Wallbarn has a multi-function key which can be used as a spanner / wrench type tool. It grips around the vertical bars and can be used to move the thread up and down.
Mini-Megapads can be used without positining lugs with just a flat headpiece….

…..or with a TD headpiece with positioning bars 60mm apart suitable to hold timber decking joists

The technical data for the entire Megapad range, including the smaller Mini-Megapads is given below:

Slope correctors can be fitted to the base plates of the smaller Megapad units. They are available in 1%, 2% and 3% gradients, and multiple correctors can be clipped into place for additional pitch.
