Plastic Edging Plate
To properly support paving slabs up to walls
For use with Fixed Height , Minipads, Universal, Balance and Mega Balance Pedestals.
Key Advantages
The Polypropylene Edge Plate offers a practical and cost-effective solution for protecting upstands and parapets in paving installations where fire-rated materials are not required. Its curved edge cushions impacts from slabs or tiles, preventing damage and helping maintain a uniform drainage gap along the perimeter.
This lightweight plate slots easily over pedestal headpiece lugs using the same central slit design as the metal version. It’s an ideal choice for residential or low-rise applications looking to balance performance and affordability.

Affordable Edge Finishing
The Polypropylene Edge Plate offers a lightweight, cost-effective solution for positioning paving slabs or tiles up to walls, parapets, or upstands. It fits easily onto the pedestal headpiece and supports two adjacent tiles while preserving the correct spacing along the perimeter. Despite its lighter construction, it provides reliable support for the slab overhang and typical foot traffic in low-rise or residential settings.
A 10mm drainage gap between the paving and vertical surfaces is recommended by building guidelines. The bullnose edge of the plate helps set this gap, and its angled profile can be adjusted slightly for the ideal finish—ensuring both function and aesthetics are achieved.

Simple and Effective Installation
To install, remove two lugs from the pedestal headpiece so the remaining two face the same direction. The plate rests on these lugs, and the central slit allows you to fine-tune its position so the bullnose sits snugly against the wall or parapet.
Once in place, the weight of the paving tiles secures the system. The plate helps prevent tiles from tipping by maintaining contact with the pedestal headpiece, ensuring a neat and stable edge.
Made from durable polypropylene, this edge plate is easy to handle and ideal for projects where Class A fire performance is not required.
