The
screw and nut fixing are
joined together by a simple
twist, which then sit
neatly into a "collar"
socket within the base
plate. The head bracket
fits onto the screw and
nut fixing through a square
notch, and the whole unit
holds together tightly
and strongly.
Each support pad can
be manually adjusted to
a range of up to 35mm.
Of course if uniform
level is required, the
screw and nut can be "locked"
into a fixed height, or
the base plate can be
fixed to the head alone.
These units are extremely
tough with a weight tolerance
of up to 400kg each. Because
the 208mm base plate has
such a large area, there
is no risk of point loading
which can happen with
many other types of paving
